About the course
The importance of pharmaceutical nanotechnolgy for therapies with drugs resides on the possibilities to deliver drugs of low molecular weight as well as macromolecules like peptides, proteins and genes, in a localized or guided manner to certain tissue.

Investigacion Actual:
La neurodegeneración en patologías oculares conduce indefectiblemente a la ceguera. El desafío radica en evitar la apoptosis de células ganglionares retinianas utilizando herramientas nanotecnológicas que permitan a agentes antioxidantes tales como Melatonina llegar a a su sitio de acción. El desarrollo de sistemas manométricos nivel ocular es un interesante desafío que permitirá obtener una nueva farmacoterapia para el tratamiento de patología tales como glaucoma, degeneracion macular, etc.
